A DOUBLE ALBUM, bringing together all of the sessions that The Cravats recorded for Radio 1’s John Peel radio show, has been released – in a 300 copy, 12-inch vinyl edition.
The Cravats recorded four sessions for the programme between 1979 and 1982, and all seventeen songs recorded at the Maida Vale studios are included here:
- Session 1: A1 to A5 recorded 31 July 1979
- Session 2: B1 to B4 recorded 23 September 1980
- Session 3: C1 to C4 recorded 10 August 1981
- Session 4: D1 to D4 recorded 6 November 1982
The Complete John Peel Sessions is an ‘enthusiast’s release’, with no label credited – but the album has the band’s endorsement.
