THE SECOND RELEASE by new label No Romance Records – a mini-album by Rubella Ballet – marks its official launch date today.
A spin-off from Rotator Vinyl, No Romance Records is “inspired by Crass Records from the 1980s” and committed to issuing new material by anarcho-punk and other artists, each being pressed on ten-inch coloured vinyl and wrapped in poster sleeves – as well as being made available as digital downloads
Rich With Our Money is a new six-track mini-album by Rubella Ballet, and is set to be followed up with new releases by Andy T, Paranoid Visions and others.
It’s been a long time coming, but for me (as a fan of the band since the ballet bag cassette in the early 80’s) this is Rubella Ballet at their finest… thumping anarch punk industrial dance rock… take your pick!
No Romance Records
Rich with our money is presented as the first release from the new NO ROMANCE RECORDS a label inspired by Crass Records from the 1980’s bringing new material with uniformed imagery, each on a 10″ coloured vinyl with poster sleeves. Rubella ballet is presented on orange vinyl.

No Romance Records are also at work compiling a new Bullshit Detector inspired album to be called Bullshit 2023. “In keeping with the spirit, this will be released on vinyl and will retail at the manufacture price (about £7.50) with a 4 page foldout sleeve.” Interested bands are asked to contact the label with proposed tracks. “In keeping with the spirit, we won’t be doing anything to improve the sound quality, ” the label says, “and will avoid personal tastes/A&R style rejections.”
