Anarcho artists across the schedule at Rebellion 2023

THE 2023 REBELLION punk festival opens in Blackpool on Thursday (3 August 2023), with bands from across the spectrum of punk, post-post and ‘new wave’ genres appearing on multiple stages over the course of four days.

As is now well-established, artists associated with the original anarcho-punk wave feature across the schedule.

There’s a strong presence for anarcho-punk in the Rebellion Literary Festival, with a film screening, interviews and an anarcho-punk panel.

The question ‘what defines punk rock’ is often a topic for much debate, conjecture and opinion, although one genré prompts more discussion than any other, through the very nature of what it represents: Anarcho-Punk.

Hosted by Peter Jones from Paranoid Visions, our discussion panel is made up of Sid Truelove and Zillah Mix (Rubella Ballet), Steve Ignorant (Crass/Slice of Life), Colin Jerwood (Conflict), Steve Lake (Zounds) and Ruth Elias (Hagar the Womb).
