Rebellion Remembers: A Tribute to Colin Jerwood

AS PART OF the Literary Festival at this year’s Rebellion, a panel of friends and family members will share their memories of Conflict frontman Colin Jerwood, who died last month following a short illness.

Steve Ignorant (Crass, Conflict) will be joined by Sid Truelove, Zillah Minx (Rubella Ballet), John Clifford (original Conflict bassist) and his partner (and former Conflict vocalist) Sarah Taylor. Colin’s children James and Georgia will also be in attendance.

Rebellion Remembers – A Tribute to Colin Jerwood

Like so many people, Rebellion is extremely saddened at the loss of someone we classed as family and for some of us a friend of many years standing. A massive part of the punk scene since the early 80s, Conflict trailblazed their way across a highly politicised landscape, with Colin’s thought-provoking lyrics highlighting causes that touched so many lives. This is our tribute to Colin, and we have invited close friends of Colin’s to join us on the Literary Stage to share memories and stories.

Sharing the stage will be Sid Truelove and Zillah Minx from Rubella Ballet (best friends since 1979), John Clifford (Conflict’s original bass-player), his partner Sarah Taylor (a former singer with the band) and Steve Ignorant. We are also truly humbled that Colin’s children Georgia and James will also be joining us.

Catch this very special tribute on Saturday 9 August, 15:10-15:50
