CADIZ MUSIC AND Entertainment release a new collection of lyrics by Conflict frontman Colin Jerwood on 6 August.

The limited edition Statements of Intent brings together the lyrics of dozens of Conflict songs penned by Jerwood over the years, up to and including the band’s 2025 album This Much Remains.

After fronting Conflict over a period of more than forty years, Colin Jerwood died in June following a short illness.

In this collection of all of his lyrics, including twenty-four that have never been released, written during and after the recording of ‘This Much Remains’, reading Colin’s words, isolated from the music, you’re immediately struck with just how beautiful and poignant many of them are. Amongst the anger and bile (Colin could deliver swear words like no one else in punk rock…’fuck you, fucking fuck off!’) there are tender and loving words and emotions that read like poetry.

“All colours change to grey, Goodbye my tender dreams, is there a better day? Regain. To live on in hearts, is never to die.” ‘Is Never To Die’, 1993.

Rest In Power, Colin Jerwood. Thank you for your words.
