THE MOB PLAY the band’s first London gig since 2016 on 20 September 2025 as part of the line-up for the London Anarchist Bookfair After Party.

The Mob will be joined by Anarchistwood, Killdren and Roni Size, together with Drag Down Borders and Distant Planet amongst others.

This year the London Anarchist Bookfair takes place at the Leake Street (or Waterloo) Tunnel, near Waterloo Station. Stallholderes include Freedom Press, AK Press, Housmans, Agit Press, Dog Section Press, the Anarchist Review of Books and PM Press.

There’s a full programme of talks and presentations throughout the day as well, followed by the After Party in the evening.

The bookfair after party has an eclectic line-up, bringing you artists and performers from a host of styles and genres, including punk, jungle, drag and drum and bass.

Head lining we have none other than Roni Size! Famous for Mercury Music Prize album, New Forms, Roni will bring the afterparty to a climax with a blistering drum and bass set.

Legendary anarchist punk band, The Mob, will be playing in London for the first time in almost 10 years. Expect moshpit mayhem!

Joining them on the main stage we have infamous electro-punk duo Killdren and the captivating chaos of Anarchistwood.

The rave room will be hosted by Distant Planet, with a killer line-up of hardcore and jungle DJs.

The evening will be introduced and hoted by the simply marvelous Drag Down the Borders

All proceeds will go to the volunteer-run London Anarchist Bookfair and supporting other anarchist bookfairs are the country and world.

Anarchist Bookfair Afterparty – Important Info!

The venue have informed us at very short notice that they intend to carry out pat down and bag searches and ID checks for everyone attending. We have been assured that ID will not be scanned or copied and no details will be recorded.

This is not what we originally agreed and not what we wanted. It has left us with the option of either putting up with it or cancelling the after-party. We have decided to go ahead but are happy to offer a full refund with our apologies to anyone who now does not wish to attend.  

We are also going to be holding the cabaret part of the event in the tunnel itself during the day now featuring Kae Tempest amongst others. There will still be a drag/performance element to the night event but there will not be a separate cabaret space.

We’re really sorry and this decision is out of our hands. If you no longer want to attend please contact us (using the messaging system here) and we will aim to issue a refund as soon as possible
