STEVE IGNORANT HAS released a live recording of the first gig of the much rescheduled ‘Crass songs’ tour from the band’s first performance at the Old Cold Store in Nottingham on 24 September 2021.

This small-venue show was the first time that this line-up had performed this set live, and this served as a warm-up show for the larger venue tour that will play out in earnest in 2022.

“This gig was the first gig we did after having all previous gigs cancelled or rescheduled due to the pandemic,” says Ignorant. “To say we were nervous would be an understatement but I think inside we all knew we could do it.”

A 300-copy limited edition Crass Songs Live in Notts CD was released on the Overground Label and quickly sold out.

On Friday 24th September 2021 the Steve Ignorant Band made their debut live performance at the Old Coal Store in Nottingham.

The full set, 25 songs, all on this CD with no overdubs etc. comprised entirely of Crass songs from the early part of their career.

Limited to just 300 the CD is packaged in a digipack with a 4-page booklet that includes photographs from the performance

Digital versions of the same set list were then made available on Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, Deezer and 7Digital.

A video short from the evening, filmed by Brandon Spivey, Mick Steff and Richie Anderson, has also been published on Steve Ignorant’s YouTube channel.
