FOLLOWING THE BAND’S first live shows in two years, in Edinburgh and London, Oi Polloi will play a live online gig at 20:00 GMT on 22 March 2022.

With the support of LimbicTV, the gig will be live streamed and accessed through a Facebook live event. Virtual gig goers will have the opportunity to make a donation towards the causes being supported by Oi Polloi.

“It kicks off at eight PM our time and we’ll be playing at least an hour of stuff in the studio here in Edinburgh,” the band explain. “There will be a button for donations and how it works is that anything donated gets split between the Limbic crew to cover all their costs and the band.”

“We’re donating all our share to Hunt Saboteurs, Food Not Bombs and Antifa so any contributions gratefully received. See ye soon!”

Formed amidst the ruins of riot-torn early 1980s Thatcher’s Britain, Scottish anarchopunk activists Oi Polloi have since honed their musical assault on the system through dozens of releases on underground DIY record labels and more than 3 decades of constant touring amongst the squats, free festivals and autonomous youth centres of Europe and North America. Renowned for their energetic and humorous live performances with their unique blend of singalong antifascist Oi and raging D-beat mixed with no-holds-barred ultra-heavy street crust, Oi Polloi are also remarkable for being the first punk band ever to release a full-length LP completely in Scottish Gaelic and for singing much of their set in their indigenous Celtic language. If you’re looking for an uncompromising progressive political message combined with no-nonsense hard-hitting punk and a good-time party atmosphere then an Oi Polloi show is the place to find it!

Oi Polloi will be donating their share of donations to the following charities:

Glasgow Hunt Saboteurs
Jewish Antifa Berlin
Food Not Bombs Myanmar
