A SECOND PRESSING of a box-set of six Subhumans albums from the 1980s will be released by Pirates Press Records on 25 July 2023.

The original pressing of the limited edition box-set sold out almost as soon as it was released, earlier in 2023.

“The demand for the Subhumans box-set was overwhelming and beyond anything we could have anticipated,” Pirates Press explained at the time. “We never intended to re-press the box set but we heard you, and are re-pressing it later this year.”

This second pressing – this time on neon green vinyl – will comprise The Day the Country Died, From the Cradle to the Grave, Worlds Apart, Rats/Time Flies and 29:29 Split Vision, along with a 10-inch vinyl version of the Unfinished Business CD. It also includes a 52-page booklet of photos, lyric originals and diary entries from studios sessions; a record-deck slip mat; and a Wessex punk rock family tree poster.

This second pressing will also be available in limited numbers, with only one copy per customer. “For our collector friends, we would like to point out [that the] original run of the box set will still be the rarest pressing,” Pirates Press adds.

Latest information on the status of the latest edition of the box-set can be found through the Pirates Press shop and on the Subhumans Bandcamp site.
